It all started when an article appeared in the Washington Post that accused Ja Morant of engaging in physical altercations with other people. Since then, there has been a rush of disputed charges leveled against Ja, and the situation has not improved but rather gotten much worse.
This time around, the suspension won’t be limited to two or four games at most. Instead, he was removed from a marketing campaign for Powerade that was worth ten million dollars. During an episode of his show titled “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless admitted that, as a result of this, he felt much more miserable than he had before.
The news that Ja Morant had lost his partnership with Powerade shocked Skip Bayless.
The most recent episode of Unchallenged featured a talk between Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe in which they discussed Ja Morant.
Bayless was astounded by the decision to remove Ja from the Powerade commercial campaign, and he shared Ja’s disappointment. He stated that he had no idea that Powerade had an agreement with Ja until after they had removed Ja from the campaign they were running.
Previous rumours suggested that Ja Morant had reached an endorsement agreement with the Coca-Cola brand for a period of time spanning many years. In return, the young player for the Grizzlies would have been featured prominently in their upcoming commercial campaign. As Morant, age 23, displayed a gun while participating in an Instagram Live broadcast, Powerade was forced to remove him from the $10 million promotion. The star of the show was informed by Bayless of his displeasure with the show.

Skip Bayless Said, Ja Morant’s Visit to a S**P Club Might Not Have Been Brought to Anyone’s Attention

Skip said, “Yes, this only makes me feel worse about the multi-year contract you just frittered away.” It was decided that he would be the campaign’s spokesperson. According to Bayless, Morant’s visit to a s**p club might not have been brought to anyone’s attention had it not been for the Instagram Live broadcast.
On the show, Bayless mentioned that Ja Morant may not have received as much backlash for coming to a gentlemen’s club if it weren’t for the now-famous Instagram Live video that went viral earlier this year. Bayless claims that the individual who flashed the gun on his behalf accidentally drew attention to himself. As a result of the publication of a video that demonstrated Morant’s attendance at Shotgun Willie’s in Colorado, he was subjected to an increased amount of pressure.
“He called attention to himself because he goes on Instagram Live and puts the pistol up,” says Bayless. “He did this to garner publicity for himself.” If that weren’t the case, we wouldn’t know anything about this topic, and we certainly wouldn’t care about it. Hence, we wouldn’t be discussing it.
Surprisingly, Bayless is absolutely correct. Morant is to blame for this embarrassing blunder. Although it is true that he is still a young player, he has already had a significant amount of experience working with both the league and agencies. It is impossible for him to evade responsibility for the scrutiny since he is accountable for it.
