The Golden State Warriors made their return to their home court tonight at Chase Centre and showed why they are such an incredible team. When the defending champion Warriors went up against the ferocious 76ers and MVP front-runner Joel Embiid, it was Jordan Poole who took the reins and drove the Warriors to victory.
He contributed 33 points to the Warriors’ victory over the Sixers, including 19 in the decisive fourth quarter. The final score was 120–112.
After a less-than-stellar performance in the first half of the game, Jordan Poole came back from the halftime break intent on claiming victory. At the end of the first half, he had 24 points on 7 of 11 shots taken. The victory was helped along for the Cavaliers by Klay Thompson’s scoring seven points in the final period of play and Stephen Curry’s contributions of eight points and six rebounds.
In addition to his 46 points, Joel Embiid had nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and a blocked shot. He also led the team in minutes played with 34. Despite this, the reigning champions were unbeatable at Chase Centre. They had no competition there.
After the game, an opportunity for Jordan Poole to participate in the post-game interview arose. While jokingly taking the back seat, he carried on a conversation with the reporters of NBC. At the time that he was conversing with them, he was questioned as to whether or not it was JP who had shown up tonight.

The response from Jordan Poole was as follows: It is Playoff JP, but what is surprising is the fact that you guys are already aware of that. I have no interest in hearing any more of the further defamation that you and the rest of the group are bringing up.
Even the head coach, Steve Kerr, acknowledged Playoff JP’s contributions. He complimented Jordan Poole on his performance tonight, particularly because he was competing against an exceptional team.
Draymond Green referred to Jordan Poole as well. He lauded Jordan’s ability to contribute on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. This 23-year-old worker’s performance is outstanding. It is quite exciting to see him step up to the challenge and generate results since he represents the franchise’s future.

The year before, Jordan Poole was a crucial cog in the success that ultimately led the Dubs to win the championship. He was always ready to step up to the challenge and posed a danger whenever he was required to. Poole, who commanded the second unit, was an essential member of the team for the plays that decided the winner of the match.
This season, Andrew Wiggins has not been playing, so his presence is more vital than it has ever been. If Jordan Poole continues to make the same strides with his defence during the postseason as he has, the defending champions stand to gain a great deal from it.
