Klay Thompson was a toddler during the time that his father was a member of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team. And in 1996, Kobe Bryant became a popular person and a hero to a 6-year-old boy named Klay.
During an interview, The Splash Brother talked about the people who inspired him as a child. Following his team’s triumph over the Houston Rockets, the 6-foot-6 shooting guard cited two other shooting guards from the 1990s as his primary sources of motivation.
The four-time NBA champion started out by talking about the Black Mamba and his “win at any cost” mindset. “Kobe Bryant was the player I looked up to the most when I was a shooting guard. He was not the kind of person to strike up conversations with strangers. His sole objective was to triumph, regardless of the circumstances.”
Klay Thompson has stated that his playing style is comparable to that of Reggie Miller.
The star for the Golden State Warriors also drew comparisons between his playing style and that of another long-range sniper, Reggie Miller.

Klay Thompson Has Stated That His Playing Style Is Comparable to That of Reggie Miller
After honoring the leading player for the Pacers, the 33-year-old made it quite apparent that he wants to be remembered as the player who competed at the highest level possible.
“My style is aesthetically comparable to that of Reggie Miller.” I like to think of myself as the modern-day version of Reggie. Reggie pierced a great number of people’s skin, which resulted in a great number of scars. Klay Thompson made the following remark in light of the fact that I have a lot of respect for the two guards that play for them: “I want to be able to look back on my career and say, “Hey, I gave everything I had, and I competed at the finest level I could.”
There’s a good chance that comparing Thompson to Uncle Reg is the most relevant comparison. In addition to their combined total of four titles, both players have been chosen to participate in the same number of All-Star games, but they have been named to only one All-NBA team.
The two catch-and-shoot players have statistics that are pretty comparable to one another. In Klay’s 12-year career, he has amassed an average of 19.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, whereas Miller has amassed an average of 18.2 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists during his time in the league.

Klay Thompson has been able to show noticeable improvement in his game since Stephen Curry has been sidelined.
Since he sustained a leg injury on February 4th, Klay has been responsible for the majority of the offensive workload for the club.
During the period that the two-time MVP has been sidelined with an injury, Klay Thompson has played in eight games and has posted averages of 28.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 6.5 3-pointers.
As can be seen by the GSW’s record of 31-30, Klay Thompson has been instrumental in maintaining the health of the San Francisco-based franchise.
