Kyrie Irving abruptly parted ways with another organisation shortly after making a trade request to the Brooklyn Nets a few days earlier. This year, Irving made it notable that no one in the Nets locker room was even remotely concerned about the fact that his statement was made only recently.
The former Cavalier, though, desired to leave the team while Kevin Durant was recovering from a strain to his medial collateral ligament and Sean Marks resisted signing Kyrie Irving to a contract deal for four more years.
It was asserted that the renewal of the contract was contingent on meeting certain conditions, one of which was winning the championship for the current season. The Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers were the two biggest teams to have their names firmly placed in the Kyrie Irving sweepstakes.
The second theory gained a great deal of popularity after LeBron James hinted on Twitter that he wanted his former teammate and labelled the quest to determine whether or not Kyrie wanted him as a “duh” one. Both of these actions helped spread the idea.
Lebron James Is Considering Trading Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks

It is believed that Lonnie Walker IV, Russell Westbrook, and other players were included in the trade package that was used to acquire Kyrie Irving by the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers also sent two first-round draught picks of their own. On the other hand, it would appear that this was not enough because the Mavericks moved quickly to get Irving through a trade.
Dorian Finney-Smith, a 2027 and 2029 SRP, and an unprotected 2029 FRP were all members of the Mavericks. Spencer Dinwiddie, who had previously played for the Nets, was also a member of the Mavs.
After the first announcement of this deal was made by Shams and Woj, LeBron James took to Twitter a few hours later to share three words with his followers:
When questioned about this tweet, “The King” will likely say that it had nothing to do with the incident involving Kyrie Irving. However, it is evident that he desired a deal with Irving, but Rob Pelinka was unable to make it happen for him.

Teams are preparing for the possibility that Kevin Durant may want a trade. Now that the drama surrounding Kyrie Irving has dissipated and he is playing for the Dallas Mavericks, teams are shifting their attention to Kevin Durant as the bigger fish in the pool.
Even while Irving was available, teams from across the NBA began to contact the Nets to inquire about the availability of their star player.
If KD becomes available for trade, the Phoenix Suns are prepared to make an offer to acquire his services.
If the Suns make a significant offer, the “Slim Reaper” might decide to test the free agent market as well. When Durant first made contact with them during the offseason of the previous year, they were one of the teams that he considered to be among his top possibilities.
