The Milwaukee Bucks extended their winning run on Wednesday (Mar. 1) night by defeating the Orlando Magic 139-117 to earn their 16th consecutive victory, which enthralled the crowd.
Throughout the past several months, the Bucks have unquestionably seemed to be one of, if not the greatest team in the NBA. Thanks to outstanding efforts from every member of the team, Milwaukee has amassed a number of stunning victories and is currently one of the favorites for the championship.
Milwaukee Bucks recently defeated the Magic and now hold the NBA’s longest active winning run because of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s consistent excellence. Defeating the Boston Celtics to maintain their lead in the East, the Bucks are unquestionably on a run. The Bucks now lead the NBA with a 45-17 record overall. The top-seeded Bucks are putting up a strong title challenge, narrowly defeating the Celtics by half a game.
Against the Magic, the Bucks made a season-high 26 3-pointers, and Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a game-high 31 points. They put out an equally remarkable defensive effort. Although Magic guard Cole Anthony scored 28 points, Paulo Banchero, the team’s outstanding rookie, was only able to score nine.
Milwaukee’s perimeter defense was excellent, limiting Orlando to only 27.3% of their 3-point attempts. It’s reasonable to say that Milwaukee had Orlando fight for every basket, even taking into account the team’s overall field goal percentage of 45.7%.

Will the Milwaukee Bucks succeed this year?
The top-ranked Milwaukee Bucks appear to be the favorites to win the championship this season. Giannis Antetokounmpo’s MVP-caliber performance has made the Bucks appear dangerous. Yet, the team’s collective efforts have improved their record of winning championships.
Yet Milwaukee has seen its fair share of injury worries. The team has struggled without Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo, but Jrue Holiday has stepped up to keep things afloat.

The Milwaukee Bucks have seemed to be an unstoppable force in the Eastern Conference with a team that is largely healthy. It’s safe to conclude that the Bucks have a high chance of winning the championship in 2023 given that there aren’t many teams who have the talent and synergy to defeat Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee Bucks will now try to increase the distance between themselves and second-place Boston by winning against the Philadelphia 76ers at home on Saturday, Mar. 4.
