Powerade is a well-known sports beverage brand. Recently it has partnered with Ja Morant. Morant will be the face of a new marketing campaign for the beverage being launched by The Coca-Cola Company.
Given that Morant is one of the most exciting athletes, the decision to select him was obvious. The firm could have made a mistake. It is said so because Ja has been involved in controversies lately around the young kid.
Ja Morant was charged with assaulting a juvenile kid. Moreover, the altercation he had with the Indiana Pacers following the game has portrayed negatively on him. Despite this, he was able to secure a significant endorsement agreement. Also, it has stated that it may continue for a few years.
Ja Morant was chosen for a significant marketing initiative that attempts to topple its rivals. Grizzlies star will take part in events, billboards, ads, and other forms of marketing.
Several NBA fans made fun of Ja Morant‘s Powerade agreement because of his recent troubles. Before it was known that the Memphis Grizzlies guard carried a gun during his argument with the 17-year-old child. Powerade signed Morant to an endorsement contract before that. Morant reportedly pointed his rifle in the boy’s direction.

Gilbert Arenas was subject to harsh punishment for taking a gun into the dressing area. Several fans likened Morant to Hibachi. He waa compared despite the fact that he did not carry his pistol to the locker room.
Ja Morant is among the league’s best players, but he is regrettably not a role model. According to reports, Morant’s most recent endorsement agreement is huge. Yet he’s treading water and needs to keep out of mischief if he wants to avoid more serious repercussions.
The first Powerade advertisement featuring Ja Morant was made public on 2nd March. It stars Morant and a youngster who portrays Morant at a younger age. Given that Ja Morant is accused of assaulting a young kid, numerous Twitter and Instagram users mocked the commercial.
This incident allegedly became much worse when Ja Morant showed his gun to the youngster. This story did not go down well with the Coca Cola company. Yet a contract had already been signed with the two time All-Star.
