Chelsea are coming off a remarkable transfer window, but that does not mean they won’t be involved in the next one. The club still has a lot of potential transfer business to tend to.
Chelsea has their targets but there are also possibilities of players leaving the club. Frank Lampard has a very diverse group of players and giving everyone the game time isn’t really possible.
In situations like this, the team sometimes has to release some players too. Lampard has done the same with Ross Barkley who is in great form with Aston Villa. The manager knew he couldn’t give him the game time so he gave him a loan spell to get some form and consistency.
There are some other names who might be treated the same way. Jorginho has found himself out of favor and might look for an exit from the club. Another player who is on the ropes is Filipe Tomori.
Ever since Thiago Silva has come over Frank Lampard has given preference to him. The pair of Silva and Zouma are performing well for the Blues. With the likes of Rudiger and Christensen on the bench, Tomori’s game time is taking a dip.

It might be best for both the club and the player to move away on a loan deal to a different club. Newcastle United are very much aware of the possibility and are interested in the proposition.
Newcastle United interested in Chelsea’s Filipe Tomori

The Magpies haven’t had the best of starts to their season. The club has brought in some good players in form of Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser, Jeff Hendrick, and Jamal Lewis.
However, they still sit at the 12th position in the Premier League. They have managed to score 12 goals but have conceded 15 times in 10 games. Defensively things are not looking good and they need to find a solution.
According to The Northern Echo, Newcastle are looking at a loan deal for Fikayo Tomori in the coming transfer window. It would be a good opportunity for Tomori to get some good game time too.
Tomori has been with Chelsea since 2005. He has won 2 Youth FA Cups as well as 2 UEFA Youth League titles with Chelsea. He certainly is a man with a lot of talent and potential.
But he hasn’t been able to get regular game time with Chelsea. Last season he did put in good performances and featured in 22 games of Chelsea in all competitions. But this season with the signing of Thiago Silva his opportunity seems to have gone.
Newcastle could be an away out for Tomori. At just 22 game time is really crucial for his development. Frank Lampard may understand that and let him go. On the other hand, he would be a great presence in the Newcastle defense.
