Neymar News: The Brazilian superstar has named the toughest opponent he has played against in his career.
Neymar has come up against some of the best players in the world in his career. The 30-year-old has made more than 650 appearances for clubs and country.
And when asked by DAZN who the toughest opponent he has played against in his career is, Neymar named England and Man City defender Kyle Walker. Neymar described the Man City right-back as fast, strong and intelligent.
He also gave his take on a number of players, including Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, Man Utd defender Raphael Varane and Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger.

The PSG star was full of praise for Van Dijk when asked about the Netherlands international. Neymar said the Liverpool defender knows when to close the opponent down and when to make a tackle.
“Playing against Van Dijk is tough because as a centre-back he’s so strong and intelligent,” Neymar said. “He knows when it’s the right time to close you down and when to go in for a tackle. That makes it harder.”
Neymar has played several times against Varane, and the Brazilian described the French defender as a ‘top player’. He also said the Man Utd defender is quick and intelligent.
“I’ve played against Varane many times,” Neymar said. “He’s a very good centre-back. He’s quick and intelligent. His positioning is very good. He’s a top player.
“He almost never gets it wrong. That’s why he’s won so much.”
Neymar also spoke about Rudiger, who joined Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. He said Rudiger strikes fear into the minds of his opponents.
“Antonio is a centre-back who strikes fear into you. He’s very strong and big. Some forwards get a bit scared,” Neymar said.
Meanwhile, Neymar has had a great start to the season. The Brazil international has so far featured in 9 games for PSG this season and has already scored 10 goals.
He scored eight of those in the Ligue 1, where PSG sits top of the points table. He scored the other two in PSG’s 4-0 win over Nantes in the Trophée des Champions final.
