It seems all is not well for Lungi Ngidi at Chennai Super Kings. South Africa fast bowler is going through the worst patch at the moment.
The 24-year-old was on the receiving end of trolls after he gave away too many runs against Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing season of the IPL.
The fast bowler conceded as many as 30 runs in a single over. RR fast bowler Jofra Archer was at his devastating best during the game as he hit as many as four sixes off Ngidi’s bowling. With Ngidi leaking too many runs, he was not picked for the rest of the games.
CSK fast bowler was upset after being benched for five games in the ongoing edition of the IPL.
South Africa international also vents out his disappointment on the Twitter platform. He posted a cryptic tweet which gave us a clear hint that he is moving from Chennai Super Kings.
Lungi Ngidi not happy with team management
The fast bowler was not even picked for the recently-concluded match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Ngidi who first joined the CSK in 2018, represented the franchise in only two games in the current season at the UAE.
With the yellow army having plenty of options in the fast bowling unit and with Ngidi not in good shape at the moment, the fast bowler is not getting an opportunity to play for the three-time IPL champions now.
After Ngidi had a disappointing performance in the first two games, plenty of fans abused the cricketer on social media. “There’s a lot of bad things that they wishing on me,” South Africa pacer Lungi Ngidi wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, one of the Twitter followers suggested that the pacer deserves a better IPL team. Soon after seeing the user’s tweet, Lungi Ngidi took everyone by liking the user’s tweet.
Ngidi’s first season at CSK
The fast bowler was quite instrumental in the team’s success in his debut IPL season. He was praised for his superb bowling. With subtle bowling variations of good line and length, he managed to take 11 wickets in 7 matches.
Unfortunately, he missed the following season owing to a side strain. However, the yellow brigade was not interested in releasing the South Africa pacer for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2020.
Talking about this season at the UAE, Lungi Ngidi was given a chance to play only two games so far. Now that, CSK are not giving a chance to Ngidi to play this season, the pacer can be traded to another franchise if they want to release the player in the mid-transfer window.
