Now that Borussia Dortmund Player opens up, Gunners are welcome to make a move.

The stage is set for them as Arsenal transfer target wants to exit the German giants.

Unai Emery side have been keeping tabs on this 20-year-old Dan Axel Zagadou. The doors have been left open for the Gunners to make a move as he recently stated about his willingness to leave the club.

As summer transfer window is approaching and managers are trying hard to make fruitful signings. Unai Emery is desperate for centre-back reinforcement. He wants to strengthen his backline that leaked almost 51 goals in the Premier League last term and is in search of some young blood.

This weak backline ultimately led to missing a position in the top four and also a crack in next season’s Champions League. Not only Arsenal faced the failure in champions league they were also beaten in the final match of Europa League by Chelsea missing our the title۔

The Gunners only have a lump-sum amount of £45million to spend and that too can be bolstered by any potential sales.

Borussia Dortmund defender Zagadou emerged out as a possible and hopeful solution for Arsenal, after his Impressive performance as France skipper in the recent Under-20 World cup.

The skipper wants to exit the club as reported after looking over his first team outlook damaged by the returns of Bayern’s star Mats Hummels.

Zagadou featured 17 times in the Bundesliga last term but would likely to play second fiddle behind Hummels and Manuel Akanji if he stays for another season at Borussia Dortmund.

He arrived at Dortmund from Paris Saint Germain in 2017 on a free transfer. The five-year contract will end in 2022 and this seems to be stumbling block for Arsenal. The German giants are ready to offload him for an amount of £27million.

It is claimed that his agent have already started the work to find him a new club in England with Gunners being the first choice.

Author’s Take:

Zagadou won’t cost much to Arsenal and they have an advantage of player’s friendship with Arsenal striker Aubameyang. The two had a good relationship together in Germany. His pace would be a valuable asset for Gunners. He is good in possession, quick and also has the physique that copes with the demands of the English game.
