In the process, they also pipped other teams to take the numero uno spot in the ICC Test rankings. Kiwis captain Kane Williamson was named the man of the match for his terrific century.
The fab 4 batsman has also edged past Steve Smith and Virat Kohli to take the top spot in the ICC batsman rankings. Before playing against Pakistan, Williamson hogged the limelight when he scored an incredible 251 against West Indies in the Test series at home.

The Kiwis are currently involved in the second and final Test match at Hagley Oval, Christchurch. New Zealand skipper won the toss and opted to bowl first. During Pakistan’s batting, an interesting incident took place which went viral on social media.
Hilarious incident that went viral
Pakistan tail-ender Naseem Shah hogged the limelight for hilarious reasons during the game. The incident happened during the 83rd over when he was having a light conversation with Mohammad Abbas.
When the visitors already lost 9 wickets, Naseem Shah tried his best not to lose his wicket as he showed some resilience at the end. It was when he conveyed something important to his partner Abbas.
Naseem Shah suggested the No.11 batsman to rotate the strike so that Naseem would retain the strike in a bid to score more runs. Nonetheless, the manner in which he conveyed the message to his partner and that too in Hindi was extremely hilarious.
Quite interestingly, all these moments were caught in stump mic and the entire hilarious incident is doing the rounds on social media. Naseem Shah jokingly told his partner that all the onus is on him to add runs to the scorecard. He also advised Abbas to take a quick single and if failing to do so, he will get slammed by the team management.
“Abbas bhai, Abbas bhai, aapko pata bhi hai sari zimedaari mere uper hai. Single karna hai warna daant par jayegi,” Naseem said. (Translation: Abbas brother, you know all the responsibility is on me now. You have to take a single else you will get scolded in the dressing room).
