Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher was all praises for Eden Hazard after his tremendous performance against West Brom. Carragher also went on to speak about the future of the Belgian at the club.
Hazard helped the Blues get back to winning ways en route a dominating 3-0 win over visiting West Brom. The Belgian scored two brilliant goals which highlighted the game.
The former England international spoke about Hazard on Sky Sports, where he mentioned that the 27-year-old might leave Stamford Bridge if Chelsea fails to make it to the Champions League next year. Carragher said:
“The unfortunate thing when Chelsea are talking about getting into the top four tonight and Hazard said Chelsea are made to win trophies, this season they can still win the FA Cup and the Champions League, but if they don’t get into the top four, you would have to worry about him.
I think every top club in world football would be looking at that situation if they didn’t get Champions League football.
Chelsea currently lies 4th in the Premier League table and are just a point ahead of the 5th placed in-form Tottenham.

Carragher emphasized the impact of Hazard by highlighting his strengths and stated that he is clearly one of the best players in the Premier League.
“He is one of the strongest players in the Premier League. The world’s greatest ever players that we’ve seen, not just in the Premier League, are often flair players so as a defender, you think ‘I can leave one on them’ or something like that, but you can’t bully the best players.
“He’s exactly the same, and he has that strength where you can’t get the ball off them.”
Hazard has been one of the top performers for the Blues this season after missing the start of the season as a result of an ankle injury. The Belgian has worked his way to net 15 goals and 4 assists across all competitions so far this campaign.
The attacker’s’s future at the club has been a topic to ponder upon with the star yet to sign a contract extension with the Blues. Hazard had earlier stated during NBA London that he is close to signing a deal with the club.
The renewal of the Belgian’s contract should be a top priority for the Blues with Real Madrid closing in on the winger. Hazard showed yet again why he is one of the best by single-handedly steering the Blues to a victory. there is a possibility that Hazard might leave the club if Chelsea fails to make it into the top four as Carragher mentioned.
