The January transfer window is just around the corner. Meanwhile, there were reports that Arsenal will part ways with Mesut Ozil since the former Real Madrid player was excluded from Mikel Arteta’s plans. Ozil’s agent had earlier confirmed that the creative midfielder might leave Arsenal in January.
Ozil was axed from Premier League and Europa League squads this season. Although he played under Arteta for some games, he was taken off from the plans for some reasons. Also, the playmaker’s contract is less than a year away from expiring.
The 32-year-old player hasn’t featured for Arsenal Football Club since March this year. Needless to say, Ozil hasn’t made up his mind to leave Arsenal. He loves the club and his regular social media activities tell him everything that Arsenal means a lot to him.
The playmaker has been uploading pics from the training session. He has also been training very well. The athlete often motivates his players by posting positive messages on his social media handle.

After Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park, Ozil posted heartbroken and sad emojis on his Twitter handle. Mikel Arteta had earlier clarified when asked about why Ozil is not playing.
“He’s not in the squad right now. I’m focusing just on the players we have here. But, whatever happens in January, we have some time to decide,” Arteta told the reporters before home defeat to Burnley.
Question and Answer session with Arsenal player Ozil
Ozil is quite active on social media as he keeps his fans updated about his latest activities. Recently, he hosted a Q/A session named “#AskMesut” with his fans on Twitter.
The Arsenal midfielder tried his best to reply to the fans’ queries. Meanwhile, one of the fans asked him an interesting question which caught Ozil’s attention. The fan asked: “Who is the one player you have always dreamed of playing with?”.
To which, the former German international picked 4 players including 2 Arsenal legends. The playmaker picked former Arsenal greats namely Dennis Bergkamp and Robert Pires.
“I would say Zinedine Zidane – but that would have been difficult as we’re both No. 10 😁 Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Ridvan Dilmen & Gigi Buffon maybe – they are also great human beings outside the pitch,” Ozil wrote.
Ozil wants fans to stay postitive
Meanwhile, Arsenal fans were left typically divided after their club’s dreadful run under Arteta. Ozil who hasn’t kicked a ball for Arsenal for a long time urged the fans to stay calm and positive. The former Real Madrid man took to Twitter and wrote: “It’s a very difficult time for everyone around the club – not just for me.”
“The situation is frustrating for everyone. Of course, I would wish I could help the team especially right now, but as long as I don’t get the chance I just hope that we get better results very soon again. But let’s stay positive.”
