Pakistan’s victory over England in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 was one of their most incredible performance in the mega tournament. So, before they were ready to face Australia in the World Cup, most of the fans expected Pakistan to repeat the performance and register a victory against the Men In Yellow. 

In an overcast condition in Taunton, the Men In Green won the toss and decided to bowl first. However, they could not seize the initiative.

The bowlers were wayward with their line and length and the fielder put up a poor show in the outfield, as they dropped catches at regular intervals. they even fumbled to get hold of the ball in the outfield.

We all know, it is very tough to be a fan of the Pakistan Cricket Team, due to their unpredictable nature. No, cricket fan knows, which side of Pakistan will step out on the field in a given day. That makes them one of the most dangerous sides in the Cricket World Cup.

During the match against Australia in Taunton, the Pakistan fans flocked to the ground in large numbers, to witness a victory from their favourite team. However, all they got was frustration, as they saw their bowlers conceding runs in plenty.

In the 37th over of the Australian innings, fast bowler Wahab Riaz opened up a window for Pakistan to pick up a wicket. He bowled a short ball on the off stump to David Warner. Warner tried to play his shot and send the ball over the third man boundary. However, he could not time the ball properly.

Asif Ali dropped a very simple chance

Asif Ali was standing at the third man region. The ball went straight towards him and it was going to be a very straightforward catch for him. However, much to the surprise of his teammate and the fans, he dropped the easy chance and Pakistan failed to grab hold of the opportunity that David Warner provided.

The cameras caught one of the fans show his frustration at the drop catch and his hilarious reaction went viral on social media in no time. Even, people made gifs of that reaction.

Even, ICC’s Twitter handle hilariously trolled the Pakistan fan on a lighter note for his reaction. Social media made memes of that reaction and used it for different purposes. The ICC Digital insider Zainab Abbas later interviewed the fan and questioned him about his hilarious reaction which went viral on social media and spread like a wildfire.

The fan said that he was expecting that Asif Ali will take the catch in the third man region and hence was very frustrated when he flopped that regular chance. 

The Pakistan fan revealed the reason behind such an expression

He said that he could see the ball fall in Asif’s hands and then in a moment he dropped it. So, he felt disappointed that the thing happened right in front of his eyes and he just could not utter anything.

“I could see it land in his hands and then he dropped it. It was really disappointing to see it happen just in front of me and I couldn’t say anything,” the man who is a London resident, said.
