PSG are reportedly ready to sell Angel Di Maria and Lucas Moura in January, to comply with FFP rules after spending heavily in the summer.
PSG shook the footballing world with the summer acquisition of Neymar. They paid a fee of £198 million to pry the Brazilian away from Barcelona. They followed the record-breaking transfer with another high profile move. The Parisians brought in Kylian Mbappe on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy him for £167 million next summer.
Both the deals did two things for the Parisians. It made the world notice of the financial pull that PSG possesses and it brought them under the scrutiny of UEFA amid FFP concerns. To make sure that they are well within the FFP rules, PSG is now looking to offload the South American duo in the January transfer window, preferably to the Premier League.
Why does PSG want to sell Di Maria and Lucas?

PSG formed a truly incredible front line of Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe courtesy of their summer exploits. What this meant was that manager Unai Emery was gonna have a massive selection dilemma on his hands. This has led to reduced opportunities for both Angel Di Maria and Lucas.
The Argentine has started only 6 of the 12 games in the Ligue 1 while latter has not been in the starting line up even once. But despite that, the biggest thought behind PSG’s move to sell the duo is to raise the £70 million they need to comply with the FFP regulations. Despite their sporadic use, both Di Maria and Lucas remain influential players and can prove to be vital wherever they go. They could fetch PSG somewhere in the region of £70 million combined especially if they move to Premier League clubs.
Where could they end up?
Le Parisien say PSG's unsettled Angel Di Maria saw summer Barcelona move collapse but Juventus & AC Milan are keen. Zero interest in China.

Lucas Moura has long been on the radar of Arsenal. Alexis Sanchez’s contract situation may force Arsenal to make a concrete offer for the Brazilian flyer in January itself. The Argentinian, on the other hand, has seen a move to Barcelona collapse in the summer. There might also be a lack of suitors for Di Maria in the Premier League because of his failed stint at Manchester United.
Le Parisien (via French football reporter Jonathan Johnson) reported that there is interest from Italy in the former Real Madrid man. Juventus and AC Milan might possibly move for Di Maria in January.
According to MailOnline’s Simon Jones, the French giants are keen to sell these two players to Premier League clubs. It is very likely that PSG might not get the £70 million they are looking for if they sell the duo to clubs outside of Premier League. They will then have to rely on new sponsorship deals and increased television revenues to recoup their money.
PSG are in hot waters with UEFA right now. Each of their financial moves will be kept under the microscope by not only the UEFA but also the media. Selling players is a logical step that PSG surprisingly did not adopt in the summer. Neither Di Maria nor Lucas is among the starters for Unai Emery.
If they can get £70 million for the duo, it will be a great piece of business on the Parisiens part. It will also help in rejuvenating the career of Lucas Moura which has stagnated over the last few seasons. The 29-year-old Di Maria, on the other hand, can have his last big payday before hanging up his boots.
