According to the latest reports, Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has confirmed that the French midfielder is keen on leaving Manchester United in the summer transfer window and Real Madrid are on red alert. The Italian super-agent has revealed that his client is eager to move away from Old Trafford after stating that he will force an exit for Pogba is the club is not willing to offload the 26-year-old.
Manchester United suffered quite a horrendous season this term as they finished in sixth place on the Premier League table and without a chance to compete for any silverware. United was initially coached by Jose Mourinho at the start of the season but the 56-year old’s defensive and negative tactics did not go down well with the Old Trafford faithful. Mourinho was then having altercations with midfielder Paul Pogba as the two big minded ego’s at the club clashed with each other.
The Special One was sacked in December and Pogba then showed a brilliant run of form for new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the next few months and was scoring and setting up goals on a regular basis, finally showcasing his true potential. But along with some brilliant performances, there have been incidents when Pogba looks lost on the field and thinking that he is far too superior to play for Manchester United.
It’s no secret that the World Cup winner is desperate to play Champions League football to test himself against the best of opponents but Manchester United are still not willing to sell Pogba. La Liga giants Real Madrid are showing heavy interest in signing the midfield gem and the Los Blancos are willing to splash out the transfer funds to lure Pogba at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The former Juventus midfielder made the move to United back in 2016 for a staggering £89 million back in 2016 and it tied down to the club until 2021. But Pogba is now tired of life in England and wants to play for a bigger club where he can win trophies on a regular basis and his agent has all but confirmed this when he spoke to reporters earlier this week.
Raiola said, “Everyone within the club [United] from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes. Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”
Pogba has already been granted an extra week off by Norwegian boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of the preseason training but his absence form Carrington could be permanent.
I think it’s quite obvious that Pogba is pushing as much as possible for a move away from Manchester United because he also hinted that a move to the Spanish capital would be a dream move. Now with Raiola’s comments, a move away from United looks quite certain this summer transfer window.
