Barcelona and Spain midfielder Pedri has admitted Lionel Messi deserves to win the FIFA World Cup, which has eluded the Argentine so far in his illustrious career.
Argentina head into the 2022 FIFA World Cup as one of the favourites to lift the trophy, with the South American nation in a rich vein of form.
Argentina goes into the latest edition of FIFA’s flagship event unbeaten in their previous 35 matches. They are also the defending Copa America champions.
Messi came close to securing the World Cup back in 2014 when Argentina reached the final. However, he and Argentina slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Germany in the final as Die Mannschaft became the world champions.
