Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has named seven sides that can challenge for the Premier League title this season.
Man City are the defending Premier League champions after winning the coveted title in the 21/22. Manchester City won the title in the 21/22 season after finishing the league campaign with 93 points from 38 matches. They were one point clear of second-placed Liverpool.
Guardiola’s men sit second in the Premier League points table in the ongoing 22/23 campaign. The Cityzens have 29 points from 12 matches, with nine wins, two draws, and a defeat.
But Man City are two points behind Arsenal, who sit atop the Premier League points table. The Gunners have 31 points from 12 matches, with 10 wins, a draw, and a defeat.

Speaking ahead of Man City’s Premier League clash with Fulham, Guardiola named seven sides that are the contenders for the league title this season.
He said Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United can challenge for the Premier League title this season.
“I would say Arsenal, I would say Man City, I would say, Chelsea, I would say Newcastle, I would say Tottenham, I would say United, and I would say Liverpool as well,” Guardiola said [via Liverpool Echo] when asked about the Premier League title race.
The Man City manager added: “I think these teams can fight for the title.”
As aforesaid, Arsenal and Man City occupy the first and second places in the Premier League points table. Tottenham Hotspur sits third in the table with 26 points. But the north London outfit have played a game more than Arsenal and Man City have.
Newcastle United are fourth in the points table. They have 24 points but they have also played a game more than Man City and Arsenal.
Manchester United, meanwhile, sits fifth and Chelsea are sixth in the points table. The Red Devils have 23 points from 12 matches, while the Blues have earned 21 points.
Liverpool, another side Guardiola said can fight for the EPL title, languish at ninth in the points table. The Merseyside outfit have only earned 16 points from their first 12 matches in the English top flight this season. They are 15 points short of table-toppers Arsenal.
