Manchester City had a good outing in Premier League this Saturday after claiming a thumping win over Watford. City boss reveals why Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne sometimes makes him angry.
Belgium midfielder Kevin De Brunye was in terrific form for the Blues in their 8-0 win over Watford. The Etihad Stadium saw hosts Manchester City thrash Watford with the scoreline 8-0 this Saturday. The 28-year-old midfielder involved in five goals including the last goal scored by him out of eight goals scored at Etihad.
Kevin De Bruyne had two assists to his name against Watford on Saturday getting himself back to form. The midfielder suffered an injury-hit campaign last season and now had a magestic start to the new season for the Blues.
According to Manchester City Evening News, Pep admitted that he gets angry over the Belgian – but only because of his consistent brilliance.”Kevin sometimes is a special player, sometimes he sees something the other guys cannot see on the pitch, not even off [it],” the City boss said.
Pep added that “Sometimes I’m a little bit [angry] when the simple ball you lose it, how with your quality you can lose it? But he is an incredibly talented player, and sometimes you miss it from here, loses it from here but sometimes his vision upfront and the quality he has [is incredible].”
De Bruyne missed most of the games during 2018/19 season due to injury and Guardiola mentioned that the Belgian gets angry at times on the pitch. “Only with Kevin sometimes it depends on his mood, sometimes he is a little bit like this [angry] when he is a little bit not happy in that way,” he said.
The 28-year-old midfielder has represented Chelsea only thrice during his stint at Stamford Bridge. Later was signed for £55m from Wolfsburg during the summer of 2015 and there was criticism circulating on this signing for the huge sum.
“I am happy that he is here, happy for the club when nobody knew him or nobody talked about him and the club were there and said he can help us,” said Guardiola.
