Luis Enrique took over a very successful Barcelona team. One which was difficult to defeat. He completed a successful first season with the team. He made them win the Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey, completing the treble. A feat that Barcelona had achieved for only the second time.
In his second season too, he led the club to win La Liga and Copa del Rey. But they missed out the Champions League title. They have secured a spot in the final in Copa del Rey for this year too.
All this while he enjoyed a great support from the crowd, as he went to create records for the club and the league. But recently, the crowd went against the Spanish giants as well as their coach. They couldn’t stop jeering even as the team won 2-1 against Leganes.

This was their first match at home after the 4-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League last 16, first leg. Notably, this was the worst result for Luis Enrique ever since he took over at the Camp Nou. Gerard Pique wasn’t too happy with the attitude of the supporters as well as the team. He felt that they should show more respect to Enrique, for his successful term at the club.
“When Luis Enrique arrived we were in the absolute shit,” Pique said. “I would like that we remember all the work he has done with us and all that he did during his time as a player. It’s eight titles out of 10 with this coach.”
“We still have options in the three competitions (La Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey), although in the Champions League it’s very, very difficult,” he said.
They will be hosting PSG at Camp Nou on 8th March. The Catalans will have to pull something magical if they want to qualify for the quarter-finals.

They’re second even in La Liga with just 1 point behind Real Madrid, who have 2 games in hand.
