Preity Zinta slams Virat Kohli's critics after RCB beat MI in Super Over

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli came under fire for his string of low scores in the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. The world’s best batsman failed to contribute in all the three games he played.

In the first match against SRH, Kohli scored just 14 runs. In the second fixture against Kings XI Punjab, he scored 1 off 5 balls.

RCB captain continued his bad touch with the bat as he got out on a single digit. He scored just 3 off 11 deliveries against Mumbai Indians in the just-concluded match.

During the match against Mumbai Indians, Kohli didn’t look comfortable from the word go. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul Chahar mounted pressure on the RCB captain. In the process, Kohli fell prey to Rahul Chahar’s bowling early on in the game.

The trap was perfectly laid by Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma as he took Kohli’s catch in his safe pair of hands. After Kohli’s hat-trick of failures, commentators and fans started questioning the 31-year-old for his inconsistency.

Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch scored 54 and 52 respectively. The youngster Shivam Dube rose to the occasion and scored 10-ball-27 which included 3 sixes and a four. AB de Villiers was named the Player of the Match for his batting exploits.

Talking about Royal Challengers Bangalore’s next game, they will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals on October 3 in Abu Dhabi.
