Premier League giants looking to sign out of favor Man United star

Premier League giants take pole position in the race for the Serie A Star

Chelsea and Arsenal are among a clutch of Premier League clubs monitoring Luke Shaw’s situation as his Manchester United career appears to be drawing to a close, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Luke Shaw’s contract situation at Manchester United has four top Premier League clubs on red alert.United have reportedly invoked a clause in the out-of-favour left-back’s contract to extend his deal by another year until 2019.But United could only be doing so to increase the transfer value on his head, as they look to recoup as much of the £28million fee they paid for him as they possibly can.

According to the Telegraph, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester City are all monitoring Shaw’s situation as they consider a move going forward. United are expected to listen to offers for Shaw in January.

Ever since Luke Shaw joined United from Southampton back in June 2014, there has always been a talk around him being the potential replacement for Patrice Evra and him being United’s left back for many years to come. However, he has been extremely unlucky with injuries throughout his United career and hasn’t been able to start regularly for a substantial period of time.

United shelled out £29million for the England left-back three years ago but a series of injuries, a loss of form and an apparent breakdown in his relationship with Jose Mourinho have all contributed to his failure to cement a regular first-team spot.

After a second consecutive summer of colossal spending, Mourinho has been informed he must sell before he can buy in January and Shaw, who has made just two first-team appearances this season, has emerged as a prime candidate to be cut loose in order to raise funds. Other players like Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind and Ashley Young could also be shown the door by Jose Mourinho as he looks to extend their contracts so that they do not leave the club on a free transfer next season.

Personally, I believe that Luke Shaw is a fantas player and would have been a great success at United had it not been for injuries to come in at regular intervals in his recent past. He is so good that even after all this time, all United fans would be hoping that Mourinho would give him another chance in the first team and this time around he is able to grab that opportunity and stays fit for the rest of the season. Every time he has been injured, Luke Shaw appears to come back stronger than before and starts performing well again only for another injury to suffer from. He is fit again now and is training with the first team again and we all hope that we can see him in action really soon for United running up and down that left flank and have a spell that would convince Jose Mourinho that he has a future at United.
