Premier League Outfit Add Replacement For Chelsea and Arsenal Target, With Blues Keen On Getting Move Done

According to reportsthe newly crowned champions of England, Leicester City have now broken their previous transfer record to bring Nampalys Mendy to the KP Stadium. The player left Ligue 1 side Nice and completed his move to England, as he now looks for a new challenge. Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri had to spill about £13m to get the deal done, breaking the £9m record in signing Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric.

The move could further determine the fate of Frenchman N’Golo Kante, who was said to be on the verge of an exit from the club this summer, with a lot of big sides looking to add him to their squad.

The star is now representing the French national side at Euro 2016, though he has not been in the best of form and has been dropped from the starting eleven.
English giants Chelsea and Arsenal have been looking to bring him to London, along with La Liga giants Real Madrid as well. Also, Serie A champions Juventus and Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain also want to sign him in the current transfer window.

The Foxes paid £5.6m for Kante, to take him away from French outfit Caen last summer and the midfielder has been superb so far. The star now has a £20m release clause in his current deal, though Leicester might not be willing to sell him.
The midfielder helped Leicester win the Premier League title in the previous campaign and recently refused a new deal offered to him, which would mean that he would make almost £100,000 a week.
Antonio Conte is all set to take over the club soon and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
