Red Devils make last-minute move for youngster?
Manchester United have had quite a good January, both in terms of getting players to commit their long-term futures and get positive results on the field. On the buying front, the club, despite some big rumours, did not make a move for any player, but now, RMC Sport has claimed that the Red Devils were in talks for several days about a possible deal for 16-year-old starlet Hannibal Mejbri, who wants to apparently quit Monaco.
Many clubs were reportedly interested in the teenager, as per the report, but it is United who have been credited with leading the race, continuing discussions after apparently making a bid. The midfielder has not played for Monaco’s first-team yet, but has already appeared for France at U-16 level and is seen as one of the hottest young prospects at the club.
