#6Ā Manchester United
Wantaway defender to finally seal move back to native country?
United will need to trim a lot of the fat from their squad, and Matteo Darmian could just be the first of many players who will be exiting Manchester United over the coming months.Ā If reports are to believed, the out-of-favour right-back will head back to Italy with Juventus. La Gazzetta dello SportĀ has claimed that UnitedĀ and the Serie A giants have come to an agreement to sell the 29-year old’s arrival in Turin over the ‘next few days’.
It will initially be a loan until season end for which the Italian champions will pay ā¬4m to United. Darmian’s contract at Old Trafford will expire at the end of the season ā unless his one year option is triggered ā and this move will very well seal the end of his time at United. Darmian joined the Red Devils from Juve’s local rivals Torino in 2015 for around Ā£12.7m but has not managed to secure a regular place in the starting eleven since.
