A sensational move for Barcelona star on the cards?
Not to get the clubs fans all giddy, but a sensational report has claimed that Manchester United have begun talks with Philippe Coutinho to being him to Old Trafford in the January transfer window. Caught Offside has brought out massive news suggesting that the Red Devils are among a variety of sides trying to snap up the former Liverpool player in January. The Brazil midfielder has not had a good time in Catalunya, struggling to gain a foothold in the at Barcelona starting XI since completing a move to Spain a year ago.
The report adds that Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on a move for the 26-year-old, but United are the early favourites to sign him. The article also says that the Red Devils have already enquired with Barca regarding any potential availability for Coutinho. While it not clear if Barcelona will be open to sanctioning a move for one of the costliest players in the world in the ongoing transfer window, it is believed that any bid to entice them would have to be over a £100m base fee.
