Do Reds join the bandwagon of zero January arrivals?
Liverpool let two of its players leave on Friday, with both Dominic Solanke and Nathaniel Clyne heading to Bournemouth — the former on a permanent deal worth £19m and the latter on loan. So will this mean that the Premier League leaders might want to add to their squad this month? It seems unlikely.
“Probably not,” manager Jurgen Klopp said when asked if Liverpool are to recruit this month. “They are two different cases obviously. Football is a business on one side and on the other side, we have to care about people, we have to care about their situation.”
It looks like after Tottenham’s decision not to sign anyone yesterday Liverpool have taken it upon themselves to shut shop for the remainder of the window and show solidarity with their league rivals, though that won’t stop players being linked to these clubs, as we saw in the case of the former.
