Former Manchester United star is identified by Arsenal as new top target.
Arsenal are in the market for recruiting some young attacker and Unai Emery’s side have identified Crystal Palace star as a potential summer transfer target that they need to bring to Emirates.
But now that the Arsenal have lack of money and are running out of a satisfactory deal for former Manchester United star. Crystal club being his current club are holding out for an £80million transfer fee.
With such a high amount, Emery side will, therefore, miss out on Wilfried Zaha unless the winger can convince to let him go to his Boyhood club for less fee or Arsenal increase the budget amount by selling some real assets this summer.
The Gunners also have an alternative with former Liverpool target being offered to Arsenal on a transfer fee of £30million.
Last year, Nabil Fekir nearly completed a move to The Reds with Liverpool all prepared to pay double the amount that Arsenal have quoted for the Frenchman.
But the switch could not get completed and the transfer was cancelled at the eleventh hour following Fekir’s medical at the Melwood.
Recently, Former Lyon manager Bruno Genesio spoke about the frustration of the Midfielder at the transfer to Liverpool breaking down.
“I think that he [Fekir] was very frustrated with his cancelled transfer to Liverpool at the beginning of the season.”
Genesio told French radio station RMC.
He made the World Cup, he had some injuries. He certainly did not feel strong enough to take on the role of leader, which he had done the previous season, relaying technical information on the pitch.
“Nabil is coming to the end of a cycle in Lyon. He has experienced a lot of things here.
“I think that he needs a new challenge, to push his limits, and to be self-critical. Because we know, we always need a personal challenge in a career, and to ask questions of ourselves.”
In addition to the Frenchman, The Gunners are also in talks with the free agent Yacine Brahimi for £19million as he has reached an end of his contract with Porto.
Brahimi is available on a free transfer after his contract expired with Porto, but is reportedly demanding a £3.5million signing-on fee to make the deal happen.
Wilfried Zaha’s move to Arsenal is unlikely to happen Unless he hands a transfer request to Crystal Palace for a low transfer fee. As for Nabil Fekir, he has failed to recapture his old form at Lyon and the club plans to cash in on the Frenchman. Arsenal must chase him and make negotiations for him
