French giants, PSG are set to lose their crown of Ligue 1 champions to Monaco this season and having already crashed out of the Champions League, the life under Unai Emery hasn’t been what PSG hierarchy would’ve expected.
The Italian media outlet, Gazette Dello Sport, report that PSG are already looking for managerial options for next season and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte tops that list.
Antonio Conte is close to leading Chelsea to the English league title after their forgettable last season under Jose Mourinho.
The Blues have marched to the title after a patchy start to their season. Conte has also led them to the FA Cup finals where they are set to face their London rivals, Arsenal, in coming weeks at Wembley.
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is also seen as a close option to Conte by PSG and it’s being reported that both of them have been offered a whopping salary of €17m.
With the looks of things at Vincent Calderon, it doesn’t look like Diego Simeone will be leaving Atletico Madrid anytime soon.
But, it has been reported several times this season that the Argentinian might be on the move as he looks for new challenges away from Madrid.
With Atletico’s 3-0 loss to Real Madrid in the first leg of Champions League semifinals and out of contention for La Liga title, Simeone might switch clubs at the end of this season.
Atletico boss has also been linked to Inter Milan and with his close relationship with the Italian giants, he might most likely end up in Serie A.
Meanwhile, in London, both Chelsea and Conte are also not willing to separate from each other after just a single campaign.
But, interestingly, a few weeks back Antonio Conte’s agent had come out and said publically that the Italian could leave Chelsea if there are offers from some historical clubs.
Although, PSG do not have a lot of history behind them but there’s a chance that if the PSG hierarchy comes up with the right offer and a future plan for the club to take forward, the Ligue 1 side might get their man next season.
