Zinedine Zidane is keen to lure him and will seal the final galactico signing.
Zinedine Zidane must be happy with the transfer activity of Real Madrid so far this summer. The Los Blancos have been able to sign the likes of Mendy, Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic. The signings of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic will end Madrid’s goal drought which was visible after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus last summer.
With a transfer window, Zidane is planning to sign one or two players. The likes of Eriksen, Pogba and Neymar all have been linked to a move to Madrid. However, this PSG star is willing to take a pay cut in order to move to Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappe has made his desire to join Real Madrid clear in recent months after PSG once again crashed out of the Champions League.
Part of the 20-year-old’s desire to leave is down to Neymar’s position as the key player in the PSG squad, a role Mbappe believes he can play in Madrid.
Spanish outlet Marca have now claimed that the former Monaco striker is so determined to join Zinedine Zidane’s Madrid, that he would be willing to take a pay cut to do so.
The report adds that Mbappe will not stay at PSG for any sum of money and will leave before signing a new deal.
PSG boss Thomas Tuchel admitted that both Neymar and Mbappe could leave the club this summer, but made his opinion on wanting them to stay clear.
Speaking at a press conference, he said: “As a coach, I do want them to continue, but this is football, we are not naive.
“Many clubs want to transfer many players and the market is crazy, but if you ask me, the coach, yes, I want them here next season.”
Reports earlier this week stated that Mbappe has made it clear to Paris Saint-Germain that he does not see his long-term future at the club and will reject any attempts to extend his current deal, which expires in 2022
The France international signed for the Ligue 1 champions in 2017 but is reportedly unhappy he has to share top billing with Neymar in Paris.
Mbappe, who scored 33 goals in the French top-flight last season, has been linked with Real Madrid, but PSG has insisted he’s not for sale.
If Mbappe doesn’t intend to remain with his current side, they may need to cash in soon, as his value will drop as his contract winds down.
