PSG Transfer News: Rafinha‘s career at Paris Saint-Germain is over, as he left the club on a free transfer. He will play for the Qatari Stars League side Al Arabi, as he decided to join them on a two years contract.


Rafinha was a Barcelona youth academy product like his brother Thiago who has a very impressive career at Barcelona, and Bayern Munich. he now plays for Liverpool. Rafinha joined Barca youth academy at the age of 13.


As a Brazilian-born midfielder, he played for Brazil and Spain in his youth career. He was first promoted to the senior squad in 2011 under Pep Guardiola against Hospitalet in a Copa Del Rey fixture.


In his Barca days from 2011 to 2020, he was loaned out to Celta Vigo twice and Inter Milan once. Though he played quite well at Celta, they decided against purchasing him.

The La Masia academy player struggled a lot to get regular game time, as he appeared 28 times.

After a devastating spell at PSG, Rafinha made a loan move to Real Sociedad in December 2021. He scored his only goal there against Granada and appeared just 17 times. He returned to his parent club at the end of his loan spell.
