The Blues will be looking for attacking options during the winter transfer window. According to Alejandro Moreno these two Barcelona stars should not join the West London side.
There are many Barcelona players who are yet to be a permanent player in Nou Camp’s XI. The likes of Vermaelen, Rafinha and Munir are yet to play full 90 minutes this season. With winter transfer window around the corner, Alejandro Moreno has tipped these two stars not to leave the club.
Barcelona stars Ousmane Dembele and Malcom should not leave the club for Chelsea in the January transfer window. Both Dembele and Malcom have seen their time on the pitch at Barcelona restricted in recent weeks. Dembele started the first seven La Liga games of the season but came of the bench for the last four games.
He didn’t play the whole 90 minutes of any of the last four games. Whereas Malcom only featured 15 minutes whole season till last month. He only played whole 90 minutes once. Dembele’s future at the Nou Camp was also in doubt in the summer after a difficult first season in La Liga. Malcom has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Inter Milan.
Malcom came on as a second-half substitute for Barcelona in their Champions League clash against Inter Milan on Tuesday, replacing Dembele. The 21-year-old scored almost instantly but Mauro Icardi cancelled it out with a late equaliser in the 1-1 draw. That was the first goal of Brazilian and his celebrations indicated that he needs more time on field.
Despite Messi being injured, none of the duo got a chance to play 90 minutes. A fan tweeted into the ESPN FC Extra Time show, writing: “Should Dembele or Malcom force a move in January?.” Moreno told to ESPN FC Extra Time show, “I don’t think that either one of them should force a move, nor will force a move. They’re fine at Barcelona.”
Moreno might be wrong. The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool are all keen to lure Dembele. Also, Inter Milan had inquiries about the availability of Malcom. Given the fact that Barcelona eyeing a move to bring back Neymar, it could be possible that either Dembele or Malcom will leave Barcelona, however, none of them would move during the winter transfer window.
