Rahul receives the award while SRK cheers him up with his iconic dialogue

The ongoing season of the Indian Premier League saw young players coming up through the ranks to showcase their mettle. Be it batting, bowling, or fielding, young Indian players ensured to live up to their reputation.

Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson, Rahul Tewatia, Nitish Rana, Ishan Kishan, Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav made a good impression in the UAE. Recently, Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Rahul Tripathi made a mark against Chennai Super Kings in Wednesday’s encounter.

Rahul Tripathi took the onus on himself as he played a sensible knock against CSK. His candid knock helped KKR post a challenging total on the scorecard. The youngster who opened the innings against CSK scored 81 off just 51 balls.

Even though wickets kept falling, Tripathi held his nerves and played a solid knock. Other than Tripathi, no other batsman upped the ante for the team. The two-time IPL champions posted a competitive total of 167 in their quota of 20 overs.

Rahul Tripathi was named the Man of the Match for his impressive batting display. After he received the award, KKR co-owner and Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan cheered him up with one of his famous dialogues from the gallery.

“Rahul, naam to suna hi hoga”, shouted Shah Rukh Khan. SRK’s famous dialogue left Rahul in splits at the post-match presentation ceremony.

KKR beat CSK

The two-time IPL champions beat the three-time IPL champions and secured two more points. With three wins and two defeats in 5 games, Kolkata Knight Riders are at the third place in the IPL 2020 points table. KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik showcased his mettle in terms of captaincy.

Karthik rotated his bowlers in crunch situations of the game. His tactical bowling changes reaped him rewards. CSK’s opening batsman Shane Watson took the attack to the cleaners. However, he was dismissed after scoring a well-made fifty.

Other than Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu chipped in with a decent 30. CSK’s middle-order failed miserably yet again as they surrendered at the hands of KKR bowlers. CSK have more defeats than the number of victories in their disastrous campaign so far.

With four defeats and just two wins, CSK finds itself in a terrible situation. MS Dhoni’s side are currently placed fifth in the IPL 2020 points table. It will be interesting to see how CSK responds to the upcoming games.

In all the six games, CSK always bowled first in the UAE. But the end results were not in favor most of the time. CSK are the only team to make it to the playoffs in all their participating seasons. However, this season has been a different story altogether.

If they keep losing games like this, then for the time in the history of IPL, CSK would fail to reach the playoffs. CSK will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the next game on October 10 at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Kings XI Punjab on Saturday at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
