Manchester United are prepared to offer English forward Marcus Rashford a staggering new long term deal in order to keep him down at the club for a number of seasons in the near future.
The Red Devils have a huge task ahead of them in the summer transfer window as club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to rebuild his squad in order to get Manchester United back to competing for major trophies.
United finished in sixth place on the Premier League table and suffered a few humiliating defeats along the course of the season which showed the world that they need a revamp of their squad and massive fixing in certain departments. But at the same time, United also need to keep hold of a few star players that can take them to the next level.
One player who has shown tremendous ability and possessed the talent is young English forward Marcus Rashford. But the homegrown starlet has attracted interest from the biggest of clubs in the European continent following impressive displays in a United jersey. La Liga champions Barcelona and Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly keeping close tabs on the 21-year-old and looking to lure Rashford away from Old Trafford.
Rashford is on a surprisingly low wage rate as he earns around £80,000 a week and he is demanding a high salary if he wants to remain at the club. The English giants are now prepared to offer a stunning new long term deal which will keep Rashford at the club and end any transfer speculation circling their star forward.
Reports state that the Manchester United striker will be offered up to a hefty £300,000 a week to continue playing his football at Old Trafford. With Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku at the exit door at Old Trafford, there will be a big responsibility on Rashford’s shoulders which he needs to live with if he signs a new deal.
United have to make sure that they pull a few strings in order to ensure that they return back to the summit of English football. Even if it means spending massive transfer fees or tying down players with massive contract offers. Solskjaer is looking to invest in youth and Rashford looks to be the future of the club.
