Jose Mourinho has announced that United won’t be signing a striker this summer, as he trusts the abilities of his young striker Marcus Rashford.

Marcus Rashford, the young talent of United, is praised by the manager Jose Mourinho ever since he has taken over the command at Old Trafford. This Portuguese manager recently went on to record and said that this transfer season United wouldn’t be signing any forwards as they already have sufficient attackers in their lineup.

The 18-year-old Rashford debuted for United last season scoring goals in his Premier League as well as Europa League matches and went on to become one of the popular debutantes of the year 2016.

Despite Rashford’s subdued performance, Mourinho still hasn’t given up on this forward. Speaking recently on this player’s performance Mourinho said, “The biggest trust I give him (Rashford) is when I told you that I don’t want another striker. I don’t want one. Why? Because I have Rashford.

Marcus this season isn’t able to displace Zlatan out of first eleven, and he is not expected to do so anytime soon, provided the former PSG player is in impressive form. Speaking of the place of Rashford Mourinho further said, ““He’s always there. He’s always selected, he’s on the team, he’s on the bench when he doesn’t start. He comes on, and he has different kinds of experiences.”

It isn’t only due to Zlatan that this player hasn’t been able to get much of a playtime. It is also the performance of Martial, Mkhitaryan and Mata which has prevented this player from being a part of first eleven.

Speaking on Rashford Jose further adds, “He’s fine. He’s going in the right direction. He’s a good kid, a good professional with the right mentality. He’s always ready to learn and improve. This kid is going in the right direction.”

“He’s very good, a proper professional. No problems at all. I pick him because he can play in so many positions. I like to rotate attacking players. He’s always there, and I think he’s in the developing process.

This 19 year forward was in good form against Middlesbrough, and it would be interesting to see if he opens up for West Ham this Tuesday.
