Timo doesn’t wants to extend his contract with the club and wants to be off-loaded.

Liverpool play Chelsea at Anfield, hoping Crystal Palace, managed by our former boss Roy Hodgson, will do us a favour at Selhurst Park and take some points off Manchester City. By Sunday evening, Liverpool be five points clear, or one point behind, having played an extra game.

Timo Werner being heavily linked with a transfer move is quite a big transfer rumors and this time rumors came up with him leaving the club. The club revealed about his unwillingness to extend his contract. Rb Leipzig’s CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has told according to the reports that the striker has asked to leave this summer suggesting that the club will not stand in his way.

“We are known to want to extend the contract. But he has signalled to us that he would rather not extend,

We’ll have to see what’s right for us and Timo.”

Werner’s deal expires in 2020, so there is no doubt he’ll be offloaded at the end of this campaign.

RB Leipzig rise to the top of the table of Bundesliga chart. It has been fuelled by their enthralling, yet effective attacking performances (they are the 3rdhighest goalscorers in the Bundesliga thus far) and one man, in particular, has been shining brightly for the club, German attacker Timo Werner.

The move to the Red Bull Arena seems to have rejuvenated the 23 year-old attacker’s career as he is being afforded the freedom to display his skills and he has not disappointed thus far. In the current season, he has been deployed as one of Leipzig’s two strikers and the results are there for everyone to see. With 10 goals in 17 appearances thus far, Werner is the league’s 4th highest goal scorer. He has put in industrious performances at the top of the Leipzig line-up and has been a nightmare for defenders.

We’ve been constantly linked to the 23-year-old, who could ease the pressure from our front-three next season and help us put in a proper challenge across four competitions. Under Jurgen Klopp, we’ve often sacrificed domestic cups, as our squad simply hasn’t had the depth or quality to try and win them unlike Manchester City’s.

Author’s take:

Bayern and Liverpool both are keen to sign Timo Werner but as per the reports the striker wants to make a move to Bayern and see his future at Bundesliga. He has developed and progressed alot at RB Leipzig and so making a move to premier League and setting him up could be least expected.
