Valdano believes, Raul can implement the styles that would inspire Real Madrid fans.
The former general manager of Real Madrid and the current commentator for BeIN Jorge Valdano believes that the former Los Blancos striker Raul Gonzalez will do a great job and has the ability to become Real Madrid’s first-team coach if the club gives him the chance.
In the previous campaign, Raul Gonzalez had coached Cadete B and Juvenil B and is now promoted to a coaching position at the Real Madrid Castilla. Moreover, so many are linking him to take the step up to the role of the first-team coach in the short to medium future.
The ideas have always been like this, to use the Juvenile experience as the step to do the big job, just as done with Zinedine Zidane and even Santiago Solari.
Jorge Valdano expressed in an article about Raul stating,
“I think that Real Madrid, in Raul, will find their [Pep] Guardiola or their [Diego] Simeone, as he is the personification of institutional character”.
Jose] Mourinho, [Massimiliano] Allegri? We’re starting to respect [Zinedine] Zidane and, if we’re talking about the future, no one should forget Raul, which is the best way of respecting Real Madrid.
“Real Madrid were always about the players.
Buy quality and demand fight.
Like the case of Raul, who knows what shames a Madridista and what makes them proud.”
He will be ruthless at the time of being demanding.
He’s becoming a coach who, if the club is careful, will serve to express the character that Real Madrid need to overcome the media pressures, the tense atmosphere and the unrealistic expectations that come with Real Madrid.”
However, 41 years old is focused on coaching Castilla, installing the values of Real Madrid into the youth players and when asked about Valdano’s words with whom he’s admitted to be having a good relationship.
I’m trying to show that I have what it takes to have that chance in the future. All I can do is continue working.
“I’m happy to be at home, in my club and we’ll see what happens in the future.”
Raul is a symbol of Real Madrid just like Zinedine Zidane. The former Real Madrid legend meets all the criteria required to become the head coach of the first team. Also, playing for such a big club carries high pressure and it would be better to hire a coach who had played with the club and is familiar with the environment to keep the club running.
