Spanish supergiants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are both looking to sign Anthony Martial, as the Frenchman has struggled to impress Jose Mourinho.
According to the Sun, Manchester United could seek a swap deal with Real Madrid. This would see Anthony Martial and James Rodriguez moving in opposite directions. It is reported Real Madrid are set to offer of £60m for Martial in the next transfer window.
The 20 year old Red Devil star isn’t having the best time under the new manager Jose Mourinho. Martial finished last season as the club’s top scorer. But he has been in the bench for most of the games this season at United.
At the same time, Manchester United will be looking forward to welcome James Rodriguez to Old Trafford. Since joining Real Madrid, the Colombian star has spent most of his time at sidelines.
Last week, Martial returned to first team action for Manchester United in EFL Cup fixture against West Ham United. He went on to score 2 goals in that match, which would have impressed Jose Mourinho.
FC Barcelona are also in the race to sign this young Frenchman. But James Rodriguez’s situation makes Real Madrid favorites to sign Anthony Martial.
