The player himself showed negligence in making a move to the proposed club which further created a problem for the Madrid. He said that he loved being a part of the team and playing his natural game for Athletico, wherein he felt more comfortable.
The Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had however assured the manager, Julen Lopetegui that he would do his best to bring the youngster to his side, but fortune had other plans in store. The star has a release clause of €80 million and has impressed the fans of the club by rejecting the transfer offer to the Real side. Hernandez was brilliant for France in the world cup this summer playing a key role in its second-ever title win by beating Croatia 4-2 in the finals held at Russia.
He was hugely impressive in the field and his spectacular display of skill and agility had already earned him a lot of fans worldwide. Lopetegui’s side was expected to be consolidated even further with this player’s addition, but unluckily it couldn’t be. This French defender could make his appearance for the La Liga last year for 27 times.
This is regarded as something spectacular considering the side already having popular players like Felipe Luis, Diego Godin and Jose Maria Gimenez. Such was his consistency in performance. Hernandez also had significant contribution to enable Diego Simeone’s side an impressive second place finish in the contest. Viewing his numerous achievements in the field and impressive contributions at crucial moments, his desperate inclusion in the Real Madrid’s team by the president and manager is deemed logical.
The Real fans would have loved to watch the star shine in their jersey bringing in laurels , but that seems to be put to a halt for some time for now.

It seems that the Real Madrid fans and the hierarchy have to wait for some more time for inclusion of the French legend into their hierarchy. With the Frenchman investing interest in playing for his own side, he has definitely earned a lot of love and respect for the Los Rojiblancos fans. Let’s hope that the young man continues in the same form in all his future endeavours.
