Real Madrid News: Coach Carlo Ancelotti believes the club have signed two players, who ‘improve the squad physically and technically in the summer transfer window.
Los Blancos have signed Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer after his contract with Chelsea expired. The German international has signed a four-year contract with the La Liga behemoths.
Real Madrid have also bolstered their midfield with the addition of highly-rated Aurélien Tchouaméni. The 22-year-old midfielder has joined Real Madrid from AS Monaco on a six-year contract. The deal to sign the French youngster is reported to be worth 80m euros plus about 20m euros in add-ons.
Ancelotti believes Real Madrid’s new signings improve the squad. The Real Madrid manager was speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of their UEFA Super Cup final vs Eintracht Frankfurt. “I think we’ve signed two players who improve the squad physically and technically,” Ancelotti said [via 90min].
He added: “I think the rest of the squad, we all know each other even better now. The connection between the veterans and youngsters was key last year and that should be even stronger now.”
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will be looking to add to their trophy cabinet when they face Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt in the final. The defending Champions League winners have already won the UEFA Super Cup four times before, in 2002, 2014, 2016, and 2017.
