According to the reports from Spain, a massive offer has been rejected by this Real Madrid star.
James Rodriguez has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid since the start of this season. But the 25-year-old was quick to respond to a massive offer from China. Spanish media outlet AS reports, Chinese Super League club Hebei China Fortune was ready to sign him at any cost.
Two weeks ago, Hebei offered James a contract where he could have earned 30 million per year. Â But the Colombian was quick to reject an offer which would give him 10-times the salary he is earning at Real Madrid.
According to the reports, Real Madrid received an initial 80-million-euro approach from Hebei chiefs.
Former Real Madrid manager Manuel Pellegrini, who is the current manager of Hebei China Fortune was adamant in signing James.
Soon after Real Madrid rejected the initial bid, the Chinese club raised their offer to 110 million euros. But James stepped into the scene and quickly decided on his future. As per the latest news, the Colombian has rejected the offer from Hebei.
It is understood that James has decided to stay with Real Madrid at least for the rest of the season. In the recent months, several Premier League clubs were monitoring his situation at Real Madrid. Antonio Conte’s Chelsea and Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are said to be leading the race to sign James in January.
