Real Madrid have already had a stellar transfer window, getting deals over the line at the earliest, but it might not be over yet if the noise around the club is to be believed.
Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba have been on Real Madrid’s radar for quite a while now. Both the Frenchman have spoken about their admiration for the Spanish club. Real Madrid have also been interested in both men with Zinedine Zidane opening admitting his interest in coaching them. However, considering the activity which has already happened, the addition of Pogba or Mbappe might not have been on the cards. But considering what players have had to say, things cannot be written off yet.
Mendy and Courtois talk Mbappe and Pogba
Ferland Mendy, the newest addition to Los Blancos, was asked if his fellow Frenchmen would fit in. “Why not, they are players of very good quality,” was the prompt response.
Thibaut Courtois was the second Real Madrid player to talk about the potential arrival of Mbappe. The Belgian shot-stopper said that the PSG youngster would be ‘very welcome’ at the club.“If he will come to the Bernabeu, I do not know, really. But it is clear that players like him will always be very welcome at Real Madrid,” Courtois revealed.
Mbappe deal set in motion
Spanish transfer expert Eduardo Inda spoke on how Real Madrid might be talking to Mbappe. Inda revealed last week that the negotiations between the club and the player have already begun. “The normal thing would be to go for him next summer,” he said.”But the player has transmitted that he will make a gesture this summer. Real Madrid have told Mbappe that they will wait until the last day.”
Real Madrid might be unstoppable next season if they can lay their hands on either Pogba or Mbappe. With a re-enforced squad and a hungry manager, the gap the Barcelona had has certainly grown shortened. But with both Manchester United and PSG demanding astronomical fees for the French superstars, it will take an incredible offer to price them out of their respective clubs.
