It is expected that the Spanish capital will oversee ins and outs in terms of players and one Real Madrid man might be headed back to the Premier League.
Gareth Bale could move to the Premier League if the right offer comes in, according to his agent. With Zidane back at the helm, the player has endured a lack of playing time in Real Madrid whites. He has complained about it after the Champions League final in Kiev but stuck around after Zidane’s shock departure.
“PL clubs should pay up”
“It certainly is possible if somebody puts their hand in their pocket and pays us what we think he deserves,” Jonathan Barnett told Sky Sports. “You shouldn’t ask [how much]; it’s going to be a lot of money. He wants to stay. I’m not sure that Mr Zidane wants him to stay. But at the moment, Gareth wants to stay. He’s got a contract and he’ll quite happily see it out until 2022.”
“He has been, in my opinion, one of the top three or four players in the world,” he continued. “But this game is a game of opinions and Mr. Zidane doesn’t think that. Good luck to him, it’s his opinion and he’s entitled to it. I won’t criticize him.”
Zidane has made his decision
Zinedine Zidane has apparently told Gareth Bale that he is not in his plans anymore, according to Daily Mail. The Frenchman is not a fan of the former Tottenham Hotspur man and the pair have had their differences during Zidane’s previous stint. And the is no sign of it getting better.
Zidane is looking to bring in players like Hazard and Pogba and letting go of the Welshman would free up his £500,000-a-week wages. Bale was left out of Sunday’s win against Villarreal. If the reports are to be believed, then it might also be the case for the remaining two games.
Gareth Bale’s time at the top level might just be coming to an end. The 29-year-old wouldn’t be having a lot of options on the table. While Manchester United have been long-term admirers of the player, the interest seems to have cooled down in recent months. And there are a handful of clubs who can afford to pay the big bucks he desires. The only realistic options will be to hope for one of those astronomical offers from the Chinese league or fix up his relationship with Zidane.
