Real Madrid are certain to endure a busy transfer spell in January as well as in the next summer. One of their targets has confirmed that he is ready to leave his current club.
Real Madrid will have to invest money in the January transfer window and sign some players if they are to challenge for any trophy at the business end of it. The Whites are on a run of some abysmal form and need a forward, especially after Gareth Bale has failed to live up to the reputation of being Cristiano Ronaldo’s potential successor.
One man who has been a long time target for the European champions has been Eden Hazard. The club and its hierarchy is a big fan of the Chelsea winger and the player admires the club as well. In fact, Hazard has also spoken about his dream of playing for Real Madrid and hinted that he could be leaving Chelsea soon.
Once again, in an interview, Hazard revealed that he is unsure about his future.
“For now I’m staying at Chelsea,” Hazard told Canal Plus. “I have one year left in June. If I don’t extend, it (a move) is possible. I can’t see myself leaving in January. I wouldn’t do that to the club, to the fans. Next summer it’s a possibility, but it’s also possible that I spend the rest of my career at Chelsea.”
Eden Hazard has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and acknowledged contact from them. But he insisted that he will not return go back to France and join a team other than Lille, his former employers.
“There has been contact in the past with PSG but I haven’t been tempted,” he added. “If I have to go back to France one day, it would be to Lille. But today, there is no chance that I’ll come back in the French league.”
Real Madrid are certainly going to make an approach for Eden Hazard in the January and summer transfer windows, so it looks to be seen whether the Belgium international will move. His contract renewal has been on the cards, but Hazard has been stalling for obvious reasons and the Whites could benefit from it next year and sign Hazard on a cheaper fee given that there will be only a year left on his contract.
