Los Blancos are eager to sign a player who can fill in Cristiano Ronaldo’s shoes, but they have pulled out of the race to sign THIS superstar.
Real Madrid have not been the same since Cristiano Ronaldo left the capital city club to join Juventus. And the European Champions are in search of a worthy replacement with names of Eden Hazard, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr. doing rounds in the rumor mill. But reportedly, Madrid have now decided to stop their pursuit of signing the Brazilian.
No Neymar at Madrid?
Neymar Jr’s future at PSG was thrown into question as soon as he signed for the Parisiens. And after one and a half year in France, the Brazilian’s future in Paris is still uncertain. The talks of Neymar coming back to Barcelona have been doing rounds for the last few weeks and hence Madrid have reportedly dropped their interest in the winger.
According to Paco Gonzalez in El Partidazo de COPE, Real Madrid are no more interested in signing the Brazilian. The reports mention that Neymar’s antics in the last few months have forced Madrid to take such a huge step. With the Brazilian constantly being linked with a move back to Barcelona, Madrid fans are no more interested in seeing him in all whites.
Manchester United could reconsider going for the 26-year old after they pursued him for a while a few months back. But just like Madrid, United fear Neymar’s transfer saga could make things worse. If the reports are to be believed, Barcelona look in the pole position to snap up the Brazilian if he becomes available.
Barca’s sporting director Pep Segura recently said that Barcelona would consider bringing back Neymar if he is in the market and is needed by the club. But Segura also showed his concerns about the financial situation of the deal and history between both the parties.
The Brazilian has continued to perform exceptionally at PSG despite the uncertainty around his future. He has bagged 10 goals and 5 assists in Ligue 1 this season as PSG have maintained their 100% winning record. Although, the winger might not be included in their game against Toulouse after he picked up a knock in Brazils recent friendly.
Do not believe everything you hear in ‘reports’. Real Madrid might have put Neymar’s case on hold but it would be stupid to rule him out completely. Let us wait on watch as the Neymar saga is not going to end anytime soon.
