Santiago Solari won his third straight match in charge of Real Madrid following Wednesday evening’s Champions League victory by a 5-0 margin. He has now earned full support of his men.
Santiago Solari became the first Real Madrid coach since the 1950s to win three successive matches and keep three clean sheets in the running as well, following his team’s 5-0 thumping of Czech opponents Viktoria Plzen. The manager was extremely impressed by his side’s displays and has seemingly built a very warm rapport with the players.
The Real Madrid players are now campaigning in favor of him staying at the helm permanently or at least until the end of this season. “We are facing up with Solari as coach of Madrid,” Casemiro said. “People can talk about whether someone else is coming or not, but we are showing him respect as Madrid’s first team coach. If things are going well, why not give him a chance?”
Karim Benzema has excelled under the new Real Madrid boss and scored twice in Plzen, he was also impressed by how Solari has quickly turned a corner at the Santiago Bernabeu. “Julen is a great coach but we are with Solari now, and playing with more confidence,” Benzema said. “For me he should stay until the end [of the season].”
Santiago Solari must stay at Real Madrid and should only go back to Castilla if Antonio Conte is appointed as head coach for the first team. The 42 year old has been tactically setting up the team well and doing so many things which Julen Lopetegui did not. He is benefiting Real Madrid and he should get his chance to manage things.
