Real Madrid Juggernaught to Sign A Premier League Deal?

Real Madrid star defender Pepe seems to be eyeing a move to the Premier League very soon.

Pepe

The 33-year-old is believed to want a two-year deal, but if that isn’t forthcoming, he may well end his ten-year association at the club.

The commanding centre-half’s contract at Real Madrid is up at the end of the season, and he hasn’t been offered the two-year deal he craves.

The Portuguese player is believed to have been offered a one-year deal. However, the riches that could be on offer to such a decorated player in the Chinese Premier League, and the Premier League, could tempt him into ending his ten-year association.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper AS, a source close to the player said: “What he could earn in two years [if he left], they couldn’t pay him here in four.

“Some of [the offers] are hard to turn down.”

Earlier this week, SunSport reported how Pepe has moved to shoot down claims he is swerving tax.

Jorge Mendes clients Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo have been caught up in the tax storm, with Manchester United’s boss denying claims he has hidden £10million in earnings through a Caribbean tax haven.

Reports in Spain claim that Pepe’s Real Madrid team-mate Ronaldo has directed at least £126million in income through tax havens like the British Virgin Islands since 2009.

But the star’s agency Gestifute have strongly denied the claims and published documents that they believe prove Ronaldo is innocent.

Now Portugal defender Pepe has followed suit and posted snaps on social media that he believes show there has been no wrongdoing on his part.
