Red Devils Make Approach Player to solve Right-Back Issues

Premier League outfit Manchester United is keen on signing Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj in the summer transfer window to add some strength to their back line. The English club has reportedly made contact with Hysaj’s entourage and is looking to strike up a deal with the Italian club.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a massive rebuilding job on his hands and needs some top quality investments in the summer window if United are going to stand any chance of winning silverware in the next few seasons.

One area on the pitch that United need to improve on is their defense which has been quite shaky and leaking goals all season long. The Norwegian is looking to add some quality to his defensive ranks by luring in high-intensity full backs to Old Trafford.

The United faithful has been fed up with Ashley Young in a full back role either on the right or left-hand side of the pitch as the veteran Englishman has declined over the past few seasons. Even Luke Shaw has not lived up to the expectations of the fans and could be on his way out of the club along with Antonio Valencia who has already left.

But now Solskjaer is in the bid to snap up Napoli’s right back Elseid Hysaj as the Albanian star has no intention of signing a new contract at the Stadio San Paolo. The 25-year-old Hysaj has two years left on his current contract with the Serie A giants with a release clause of €55 million.

Hysaj is versatile and full of energy, what makes him so special is the fact that he can attack and defend well in wide areas of the pitch and United are crying out for a player like the Napoli man. The 20-time Premier League winners have made an approach to sign Hysaj by contacting his entourage in an attempt to land a €25 million bid for Carlo Ancelotti’s fullback.

Author’s Take-

Manchester United are able to spend money but they don’t need to splash out a lot of their transfer fee on many players. Sensible recruitment is required and €55 million seems to be a bit too much for Hysaj considering the fact that he hasn’t played in the Premier League.
