Spending £60m on Jovic, the Serb was thought to be Karim Benzema’s successor. But instead, it seems as though his time at Real is nearing an end. Luka Jovic was a signing that Zidane himself made a year of age. Now the gaffer is asking the youngster to go out on loan for minutes. This hints that Jovic does not have the coach’s trust anymore.

Luka had a troublesome season in Spain’s capital. Four injuries and a lot of bad luck saw the youngster being restricted as a bench warmer. This soon saw the Serb lose favor from Zidane as well.

Jovic was just able to net 2 goals and provide 2 assists in 27 appearances for Madrid. This is a really low tally for a £60m signing.

Madrid chose to sign him from Eintracht Frankfurt due to his explosive attributes. Jovic had 27 goals and 7 assists in 48 games at the German outfit. Zidane was hoping to see a similar tally at Madrid as well. But the 22-year-old was not able to match the same. Hence, will be having to leave out on loan soon.

With the transfer window nearing the closure by October 5. Luka does not have a lot of time left to make the move. The young striker can use the opportunity to earn more minutes away from Madrid. And use it to redeem his form to show his worth to Zidane. But he will have to find a loan destination soon.

Tottenham Hotspur was also showing interest in him alongside Chelsea. While the Blues were able to sign Timo Werner to resolve their issues. Jose Mourinho is yet to land a striker to reinforce his frontline. Harry Kane has been the lone striker for Spurs. But they do need some stable options to rotate the strike.

Hence, Mourinho may use the opportunity to land Jovic on a loan. Jose has already made a deal with Madrid to sign Sergio Reguilon on a £27m deal. And bring back Gareth Bale on a season-long loan with the option to make a permanent deal. The addition of Jovic to the lot may help Mourinho to find Tottenham’s lost flare.

Luka Jovic has a few more weeks to make the choices. It will be ideal for the youngster to take the opportunity to shift from Madrid. Considering the current situation, Jovic risk minutes on the field next term. He can instead move to a club that needs his services. And show his worth to Madrid to return and redeem his spot after a loan spell.
