Revealed: Barcelona’s 7-man list to replace Luis Suarez

FC Barcelona’s Luis Suarez has shown symptoms of decline and it is time the Catalans find a potential replacement.

FC Barcelona are leading the point table in La Liga but Luis Suarez has failed to perform as he did in the previous season. The Uruguayan attacker has shown symptoms of decline and FC Barcelona have made a 7-man list to replace the attacker.

The 32-year-old played a crucial role for FC Barcelona last season in their pursuit of winning the La Liga. However, it has not been the case this season with the Uruguayan struggling. They have been over-reliant on Lionel Messi to produce masterclass.

German international and RB Leipzig attacker Timo Werner is in the list to replace Luis Suarez. The German has been performing consistently for RB Leipzig in Bundes Liga and will only further flourish if he joins FC Barcelona. He has featured in 98 matches for RB Leipzig and has amassed 56 goals for the German club. He has also played 23 times for the German national team.

Poland international Krzysztof Piatek is in red-hot form Genoa this season. He has already scored 19 goals from 19 matches and is one of the favourites to become the top scorer in Serie A. In Serie A, he has scored 13 goals from 17 games.

AC Milan’s Portuguese attacker Andre Silva is also in the list of players to replace the Uruguayan. Silva currently plays for Barcelona’s Spanish rivals Sevilla on a loan from the Italian club. Silva, 23, was also a part of the Portuguese team that participated in the FIFA World Cup. He has already scored 7 goals for Sevilla from 14 appearances so far this season.

21-year-old Serbian attacker Luka Jovic is another man in the list. Jovic, who plays Eintracht Frankfurt on a loan from Benfica, has already scored 17 goals from 23 appearances for the German club this season.

Ajax’s Kasper Dolberg, Celta Vigo’s Maxi Gomez and Lille’s Nicolas Pepe are the remaining names in the list.

All the aforementioned players have proven their goalscoring prowess already and there is no doubt they will be an asset to the Barcelona squad. It remains to be seen who Barcelona will sign!
